Display Manager
The Display Manager is the primary interface for selecting real-time data feeds and defining how they will be displayed and tracked in the RT3 Extension. You can define the following real-time elements using the Display Manager:
To insert a new real-time element, select a provider from the upper drop-down menu, or a query or event from the lower drop-down menu, and click Add (); you must insert at least one provider element before other elements can be inserted, so the Add button for queries and events is disabled until a provider has been added. When you insert a query or event, it will be placed subordinate to the provider currently selected in the upper drop-down menu.
You can rearrange elements within the Display Manager by dragging and dropping them; elements cannot be moved from one type of provider to a different type, however. To interact with an element in the Display Manager, right-click it, which opens a pop-up menu. The commands available in this menu are defined in the table below:
Command | Description |
---|---|
Cut | Remove a query or event and place it on the Display Manager's clipboard. |
Copy | Create a duplicate of a query or event and place it on the Display Manager's clipboard. |
Paste | Copy a query or event currently on the Display Manager's clipboard into the Display Manager at the currently selected location. You can only paste elements within the same provider type from which they originated. |
Import... | Create an element in the Display Manager from a saved element; browse to the location of the file. |
Export... | Create a saved file of the element that can be imported into other scenarios. |
Properties... | Open the element's definition window, allowing you to modify its parameters. |
Rename | Rename the element. |
Remove | Delete the element. |
View Query Entities... | Open the Get Info Tool to view the properties of entities filtered by the query; available for query elements only. You can also promote entities to full STK objects from within the Get Info Tool. |
View Provider Entities... | Open the Get Info Tool to view the properties of all entities sent by the provider; available for provider elements only. You can also promote entities to full STK objects from within the Get Info Tool. |
Zoom To | Set the view in the 3D Graphics window to be zoomed in on the extents of the entities filtered by the query; available for query elements only. |
Help | Launch the Help. |
The Display Table is comprised of all the real-time elements in the current real-time scenario, and displays information about each of them. The check box next to each element's name can be used to select whether the element is active or not. The fields for each element are defined in the table below:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Marker | This field is valued only for provider and query elements. For queries, the field can be toggled to set the display of queried entities on or off; for providers, the field can be toggled to set the display of markers for all queries defined for that provider on or off. |
Model | This field is valued only for provider and query elements. For queries, the field can be toggled to set the display of queried entities on or off; for providers, the field can be toggled to set the display of models for all queries defined for that provider on or off. |
Label | This field is valued only for provider and query elements. For queries, the field can be toggled to set the display of the labels of queried entities on or off; for providers, the field can be toggled to set the display of labels for all queried entities defined for that provider on or off. |
Line | This field is valued only for provider and query elements. For queries, the field can be toggled to set the display of queried entities on or off; for providers, the field can be toggled to set the display of lines for all queries defined for that provider on or off. |
You can customize the display of the fields by right-clicking the column headers or any white space within the Display Manager and selecting the desired fields from the drop-down menu that appears; these changes will only apply to the current scenario.
