Certification Overview

Become proficient with the Ansys Systems Tool Kit® (STK®) digital mission engineering software and advance your career by becoming STK certified. There are three levels of STK Certification, a certification for integrating with the STK software, and a certification for the Ansys Test and Evaluation Tool Kit (TETK)™ capability:

Level 1 - STK Certified

The Level 1 - STK Certification covers the fundamental skills necessary to productively use the Pro version of the STK software. This entry-level certification introduces the basic features of the STK software, including creating and building scenarios, generating reports, and recording a video.

Prerequisite None
Recommended Preparation AGI recommends completing the Level 1 - Beginner tutorials.
Estimated Duration to Complete the Certification 4 hours
Time Allowance to Complete After registering, you have 14 days to complete the test.
License Required After registering, you will receive a 14-day license that provides access to all the capabilities needed to complete the certification.
Availability for Customers This certification is available to all users in the U.S. and Canada. Users located outside the U.S. and Canada will require approval from their local partner to take this certification. Upon registering, your local partner will be notified. If you are approved, you will receive an email with instructions on how complete registration. You will not need to request approval for any additional certification tests you choose to take.

Level 1 - TETK Certified

The Level 1 - TETK Certification covers using the Ansys Test and Evaluation Tool Kit (TETK)™ capability with your STK scenarios. In this certification, you will show proficiency with the basic features of the TETK capability. You will generate contours, graphs, and other TETK artifacts. Also, you will import external data and designate important information for a given TETK assessment.

Prerequisite You must be Level 1 - STK Certified.
Recommended Preparation Complete the Getting Started With T&E Tool Kit tutorial.
Estimated Duration to Complete the Certification 4 hours
Time Allowance to Complete After registering, you have 14 days to complete the test.
License Required After registering, you will receive a 14-day license that provides access to all the capabilities needed to complete the certification.
Availability for Customers This certification is available to all users in the U.S. and Canada. Users located outside the U.S. and Canada will require approval from their local partner to take this certification. Upon registering, your local partner will be notified. If you are approved, you will receive an email with instructions on how complete registration. You will not need to request approval for any additional certification tests you choose to take.

Level 2 - STK Master Certified

The Level 2 - STK Master Certification validates your ability to perform more advanced STK modeling and analysis through the use of the STK software's advanced capabilities. This advanced certification level covers STK Pro along with the STK software's Analysis Workbench, Coverage, Communications, Radar, Aviator, and STK/Astrogator® capabilities.

Prerequisite You must be Level 1 - STK Certified.
Recommended Preparation AGI recommends completing the Level 2 - Advanced tutorials.
Estimated Duration to Complete the Certification 8 hours
Time Allowance to Complete You have 14 days to complete the test upon registration.
License Required After registering, you will receive a 14-day license that provides access to all the capabilities needed to complete the certification.

Level 2 - STK Master Integration Certified

The Level 2 - STK Master Integration Certification shows how to integrate and automate the STK software with Python or MATLAB. These seven exercises focus on using Python or MATLAB to build a STK scenario, extract data from the scenario, and analyze that data.

Prerequisite You must be Level 1 - STK Certified.
Recommended Preparation AGI recommends that you complete the Level 2 - Advanced tutorials related to integration. You can also refresh your programming skills with tutorials from the Python or MATLAB websites.
Estimated Duration to Complete the Certification 6 hours
Time Allowance to Complete After registering, you have 14 days to complete the test.
License Required After registering, you will receive a 14-day license that provides access to all the capabilities needed to complete the certification.

Level 3 - STK Grand Master Certified

The Level 3 - STK Grand Master Certification is the most advanced level of STK certification. It consists of seven individual tracks that cover the use of the STK software’s specialized capabilities and focus on different application areas. After you pass four tracks, you will become Level 3 - STK Grand Master certified.

Prerequisite You must be Level 1 - STK Certified and Level 2 - STK Master Certified.
Recommended Preparation AGI recommends completing some of the Level 3 - Focused tutorials for the capabilities covered in each track.
Estimated Duration to Complete the Certification 8 hours for each track
Time Allowance to Complete After registering for a track, you have 14 days to complete that track's test.
License Required After registering for a track, you will receive a 14-day license that provides access to all the capabilities needed to complete that track's test.
