Description

The VO ViewAlongDirection command enables you to set a view in a 3D window along a Vector either to or from an object, Central Body or Point.

Specify To or From to indicate whether the direction is inward (To) or outward (From) the object.

The "<ObjectSpec>" can be:

  • A truncated object path: Facility/Facility1, Satellite/ESRI. All objects are valid in this command except Planet and Star.
  • A central body path: CentralBody/Moon, CentralBody/Earth.
  • A Point component specification: "Facility/Facility1 Center Point", "Satellite/Satellite1 SunGlint Point"

For Direction "<DirSpec>" specify either:

  • The vector that the view will be along, the format is "<TruncObjectPath> <VectorName> Vector"
  • The truncated path of a star object

Include WindowID <WinNumber> to specify the 3D Graphics window in which to set the view. If not entered the first 3D window will be used.
