Resource Priority Definition

The Figure of Merit calculation uses the resource priorities to determine which of the possibilities deconflicted schedule solutions contains a resource possibility that is most preferred. STK Scheduler allows you to determine the priority scale range and the priority convention of tasks and resources independently. Resource priority range and convention are defined on the Resource Priority Tab of the Schedule Properties Form. You may prescribe default priorities to each resource using the General Tab of the Resource Definition Form.

Default resource priorities may be overridden on a task-specific basis through the possibility priority definition on the Task Resource Timeslots Tab. STK Scheduler uses linear interpolation to normalize the user-defined priority values to between 0 and 10 with 10 being higher priority using the following equation:
