The resource priority tab may be viewed by selecting Resource -> Priority Convention... from the Menu Bar.

Resource Priority Tab

STK Scheduler allows you to specify a priority value to each resource using the Resource Definition form. The Figure of Merit calculation uses the resource priorities to determine which of the possible deconflicted schedule solutions contains a resource possibility that is most preferred. STK Scheduler allows you to determine the priority scale range and the priority convention of tasks and resources independently. The priority scale range allows you to choose any values he wishes to determine the highest ad lowest possible priority values. Then using the convention radio buttons, you can select if a higher number signifies a higher priority or a lower priority.

Resource priority scales and conventions should be changed prior to defining any resources. Changing the priority scale and the range after defining resource can have unpredictable results.

Resource Priority Min Textbox

The resource priority minimum textbox allows you to define a numerical value that corresponds to the smallest number in the priority scale. STK Scheduler will accept only positive integer values. Alternatively, the and buttons may be used to select the priority minimum value.

Resource Priority Max Textbox

The resource priority maximum textbox allows you to define a numerical value that corresponds to the greatest number in the priority scale. STK Scheduler will accept only positive integer values. Alternatively, the and buttons may be used to select the priority maximum value.

Low Number = More Desirable Priority Option Button

The lower number = More Desirable Priority option button allows you to set the priority convention in such a manner that a smaller priority value has a more desirable priority. With this option selected, the resource priority minimum number will correspond to the highest possible priority value. Likewise the resource priority maximum number will correspond to the lowest possible priority value.

Higher Number = More Desirable Priority Option Button

The higher number = More Desirable Priority option button allows you to set the priority convention in such a manner that a great priority value has a more desirable priority. With this option selected, the resource priority minimum number will correspond to the lowest possible priority value. Likewise the resource priority maximum number will correspond to the highest possibly priority value.
