Status Tab

The status tab contains the controls that allow the user to view and modify how a task is used in the schedule.

To display the Status Tab, select Task -> New or Task -> Edit from the Menu Bar, then click on the Status Tab.

Status Tab

Deferred Checkbox

The deferred checkbox allows you to determine and change whether or not a task is deferred. If the Deferred Checkbox is checked, running the Schedule De-conflictor will not affect the assignment status of the task. Only tasks that have assignments may be deferred.

Assigned Checkbox

The assigned checkbox allows you to determine and change whether or not a task is assigned.

The assignment status of a task cannot be changed if the task is deferred.

Lock/Override Checkbox

The lock/override checkbox allows you to modify the assignment status of a task. Clicking the lock/override will prevent any assignments from being rescheduled or removed by the algorithms.

A task may only be locked if it is assigned.

When the Lock/Override checkbox is checked, STK Scheduler cannot guarantee that the schedule is deconflicted.

Operational Status

The operational status is an optional tag for the current state of a task. Any unassigned task will appear as Unscheduled. Once a task is assigned the operational status may be changed. The options are Assigned, Completed, and Failed. If a task is changed to Completed, the task will lock so no future changes can be made to it.

Editing the operational status of a parent task will change the status of all children. To edit the operational status of all the associated children tasks while keeping their current assignments, the Retain Assignments checkbox on the Resources tab must be selected prior to clicking Update.

Assignments Listview

The assignments listview displays the details of all of the task assignments. Tasks normally can only have one assignment, however, if handovers are allowed, a task may receive multiple assignments. The Assignments Listview appears only when the Assigned Checkbox is checked.

Export Table button

The export table button located in the Assignments bar exports the table as an excel compatible .csv file.

Add Button

The add button opens the Task Assignment Form to allow you to create a new task assignment. The Add Button is active only when the Assigned checkbox is checked.

Only tasks that allow handovers will allows multiple assignments.

Manually adding or modifying an assignment may cause a resource conflict. STK Scheduler cannot verify that a schedule with a manually assigned task is properly deconflicted. This action will cause the Safe Schedule Flag to turn red indicating that STK Scheduler cannot verify that the schedule has no resource conflicts.

Edit Button

The edit button opens the Task Assignment Form populated with the attributes of the selected assignment to allow you to modify a task assignment. The Edit Button is active only when the Assigned checkbox is checked.

Delete Button

The delete button will permanently delete the selected task assignment. The Delete Button is active only when the Assigned checkbox is checked.

Lock/Unlock Assignment(s) Button

The lock/unlock button will lock individual assignments to prevent them from being reschedule or removed by the algorithms (similar to locking the task). This is only available on tasks that are configured to Allow Multiple Segments.

Potentially Conflicting Assignments Listview

If a task has not been assigned (scheduled), the status tab will show a blank listview with the title "Potentially Conflicting Assignments" and a button will be available at the bottom of the listview called "Calculate Conflicts". When this button is clicked by the user, the software will determine what assigned tasks (if any) caused resource conflicts with the unassigned task. This includes direct time conflicts, conflicts due to resource setup time, and conflicts die to the use of consumable resource capacity.

This listview will always appear blank until the Schedule De-conflictor is run and the "Calculate Conflicts" button is clicked.
