Radar Define

Set basic properties of a radar (Deprecated Command)

Syntax

Radar <RdrObjectPath> Define {Monostatic | BiStatic} <Parameters>

ATTENTION: THIS COMMAND IS DEPRECATED and has been replaced by:

Radar

Description

Note: This command was deprecated in STK 10.1, it should no longer be used. This command has been replaced by the Radar command.

The Radar Connect commands were enhanced in STK 10.1 to make use of attributes and to simplify the format required to use these commands. For more information on using the new format see Transitioning to the New Radar Format.

The Radar Define command allows you to define the basic properties of the specified radar. Use the Monostatic model type if the receiver and transmitter are in the same location. Use the BiStatic model type if the receiver and transmitter antennas are physically separate.

Hint: Once you set the basic parameters for a radar using this command, use the Radar Orient, Radar GainLoss and Graphics (Radar) commands to further define it.

{ModelType} <Parameters>
Monostatic <PeakPower> {SignalProfile} <Value> <PeakPower> is entered in dBW, valid values are between -200 to 200.

Valid values for {SignalProfile} are Wave and Freq. If {SignalProfile} is Wave then <Value> is entered in Small distance units, between 0.001 and 100 meters. If {SignalProfile} is Freq then <Value> is entered in Scenario frequency units, between 3.0e6 to 3.0e11 Hz.

BiStatic <RdrObjectPath> The object specified by <RdrObjectPath> must be a monostatic radar.

Example

To set the basic properties of the TestRadar so that the monostatic model is used with a peak output power of 45 dBW and a frequency of 2.8 GHz:

Radar */Facility/Customer/Radar/TestRadar Define Monostatic 45 Freq 2.8

ReturnMessage

If activated, Connect returns an acknowledgement message.
