VO ViewerPosition

Control the viewer position.

VO <ScenarioPath> ViewerPosition <Declination> <RightAscension> <Range> [<WinNumber>]

Description

The VO ViewerPosition Connect command enables you to control the viewer position by specifying the declination, right ascension and range for the new position, relative to the view to/from object in the current view reference frame.

<Declination> and <RightAscension> are entered in degrees, <Range> is entered in Connect distance units.

Example

To set the view position to be along the x axis, at a distance of 100000000m, in the current view reference frame:

VO * ViewerPosition 0 0 100000000

To set the view position to be centered at 30 degrees declination and 45 degrees right ascension, at a distance of 100000 km, in the current view reference frame, of VO window 2:

SetUnits / km

VO * ViewerPosition 30 45 100000 2

ReturnMessage

If activated, Connect returns an acknowledgement message.
