Resource Usage Tab

The resource usage tab contains the controls that allow you to specify task specific resource attributes.

To display the Resource Usage Tab, select Task -> New or Task -> Edit from the Menu Bar, click on the Resource Tab, and then click on the Resource Usage Tab.

IF the resource listview appear empty, go to the Resource Required Tab, define resource constraints, and then click the Create Possibilities button.

Use Common Setup Time Checkbox

Common Setup Time is a task constraint feature where an assignment will expand all of the resource setup times (if minimum is non-zero) that are used in the assignment to the setup time duration that is the longest in duration within the assignment. See Minimum Setup Time.

Define Per Task Option Button

The timeslots per task option button provides you with an easy way to apply resource usage identically for all task possibilities, and view all of the resources for a task in a single listview.

Define Per Possibility Option Button

The timeslots per task option button allows you to define different resource usage data for each task possibility and view all of the resources for a task as a function of the task's possibilities.

Edit Button

The Edit button opens the Resource Usage Definition Form and populates it with the task or possibility-specific attributes of the selected resource. This form will allow you to specify how the task uses a resource option when assigned.
