Spatial Analysis Tool
The Spatial Analysis tool enables you to create calculations and conditions that depend on locations in 3D space which are, in turn, provided by user-definable volume grids. Combining spatial calculations and volume grids in volumetric objects allows you to report and graph calculations over time and across grid points, as well as visually depict volumes representing various values interpolated across grid points.
Creating a Spatial Analysis Component
To create a Spatial Analysis component, click one of the associated icons, which are described in the following table.
Spatial Analysis Tool Components | ||
---|---|---|
Icon | Name | Description |
Create New Spatial Calculation | A Spatial Calculation is a calculation that depends on both time and location. See Defining a Spatial Calculation Component. | |
Create New Spatial Condition | A Spatial Condition is a scalar condition that depends on both time and location. See Defining a Spatial Condition Component. | |
Create New Volume Grid | A Volume grid is a collection of enumerated points placed in 3D space, using steps taken in each coordinate and using various coordinate types. See Defining a Volume Grid Component. |
Editing a Spatial Analysis Component
To edit a Spatial Analysis component, select the component from the left pane of the Spatial Analysis tab and click the Properties button. The Edit Component Properties page is displayed. Make your changes, and click OK. For help on setting parameters, see Defining a Spatial Analysis Component.
