The Area Target Object
The Area Target object models a region on the surface of the central body. Select one or more of the following to model an Area Target and impose constraints:
The boundary of an area target extends infinitely and geodetically above the ellipsoid when used in Access calculations.
Basic Properties
Property |
Description |
Boundary
|
Define the area target as a pattern bound by selected points or as an ellipse with specified parameters. |
Centroid
|
Define a 'center' point for the area target to be used as, among other things, a terminal point for access lines drawn to the area target during animation. |
Description
|
Record useful information about the area target. |
2D Graphics Properties
Property |
Description |
Attributes
|
Define color, line style and other graphics characteristics for the area target, and opt whether to inherit or override global attributes defined at the Scenario level. |
Display Times
|
Set time intervals during which area target graphics display. |
3D Graphics Properties
Property |
Description |
Attributes
|
Define color, line style and other graphics characteristics for the area target, and opt whether to inherit or override attributes defined at the 2D Graphics level. |
Vector
|
Control the display of vectors and other geometric elements related to the line target. |
Constraints
Property |
Description |
Active
|
Impose constraints on access from the following available constraint categories for an Area Target object:
- Basic: The most commonly used constraints
- Geometry: Constraints that use a geometric measure (other than angle), such as range, altitude, and grazing altitude
- Analysis Workbench (AWB): Constraints that involve an Analysis Workbench (AWB) component (Angle, Calculation Scalar, Condition, or Vector)
- Plugins: Your own plugin constraints, which compute a plugin-defined metric that you define
- Temporal: Constraints related to specified time-of-day or time intervals
