3D Graphics
STK displays complex scenario information in an intuitive 3D environment. This environment can display complex mission and orbit geometries, through realistic 3D views of airborne and terrestrial assets, sensor projections, and orbit trajectories. The 3D graphics engine is driven by validated numerical data.
The following table lists the 3D graphics features and provides links to more information on each feature:
Feature | For more information, go to: |
---|---|
Uses detailed, scalable, and articulating 3D models with all of the time-varying aspects of their position and attitude to display land, sea, air, and space-based systems. | 3D Graphics Model Properties page |
Sets the 3D graphics window viewpoint to be centered on any object, or central body, and fixed in any of the axes frames in the Vector Geometry tool. | View Position and Direction window |
Displays STK parameters in the 3D graphics window. | 3D Graphics Properties for STK Objects |
Provides realistic visualization of your assets with scalable 3D models. | Using Models |

Uses the AzElmask generation tool to generate a representative obscuration mask for any sensor located at any point on its parent object. | AzElMask Tool |
Uses the Area generation tool to calculate the area of a model in the direction of any vector or axes, over a given time interval, such as an orbit period. | Area Tool |
Displays the percentage that a sensor's field-of-view is obscured either by the system on which the sensor resides, other systems, or the Earth. | Obscuration Tool |
