Data Explorer
The Data Explorer is a Trade Study tool used to display data collected from a Model. Analyzer supports Parametric Study, Carpet Plot, Design of Experiments (DOE), Optimization Tool Trade Study tools. While data is being collected, the Data Explorer displays a progress meter, a halt button, and the data.
Plot Types
Above the data Table, there are two categories of plot types: Standard Plots and Data Visualizer.
- Standard Plots
- Data Visualizer is a suite of advanced plots to help analysis of design alternatives.
Toolbar
Once the trade study is complete and all data has been collected, the Data Explorer toolbar becomes active.
The toolbar buttons perform the following functions:
- Open Trade Study - Open a saved trade study file.
- Save Trade Study - Saves the data and associated trade study tool setup information a trade study file.
- Cut - Removes the selected page and puts it on the clipboard.
- Copy - Copies the selected page to the clipboard.
- Paste - Adds a page on the clipboard to the Data Explorer, if one is present.
- Basic Settings - Displays the basic settings dialog for the selected page.
- Show Design Tooltip - Enable/Disable Design Tooltip.
- Standard Plots - Shortcut list to create a standard plot.
- Data Visualizer - Shortcut list to create a Data Visualizer plot.
- Help - Brings up the Analyzer help page about the Data Explorer.
- Import Data - Open a previously-saved comma-separated (.csv) data file.
- Templates - Add, remove, and select templates used for displaying data.
