STK's Pro Capability
STK's Pro license option adds realism to system models. Building on the fundamental capabilities of STK, Pro introduces more sophisticated modeling through advanced access constraints, flexible sensor shapes, complex visibility links, more object tracks, and digital terrain data.
For more information on using the capabilities in the Pro license option, see the links in the following sections.
Attitude capabilities
- Advanced Attitude Profiles: Fixed in Axes, Aligned and Constrained, External Attitude file.
- Predefined Attitude Profiles. For a list of attitude profiles available with Pro, see Attitude Profile comparison.

More reporting options
- Sensor Access Refraction reports information of the effects of refraction on elevation angle, range, and propagation delay.
- Deck Access data provider reports the output from the Deck Access tool. The Deck Access tool enables you to compute access to a set of objects, not currently defined in the STK scenario, from a single object within the scenario.
- Azimuth Elevation Mask data provider reports the obscuration mask data for a sensor or facility.
- The Terrain Info data provider reports ground slope information for a facility.
Terrain functionality
- Load all standard types of Digital Terrain data to more accurately model and visualize altitude variations, line-of-site restrictions, and sensor footprint intersection.
- Include terrain in your analysis.
- Include terrain in the computation and visualization of an Az-El mask.
- Define the slope of the local terrain.
- Apply terrain data to an aircraft's route.
- Display surface lines that conform to the terrain on the globe.
- Display a boundary wall relative to terrain.
- Modify the field of view of a sensor located on a vehicle to account for its intersection with the central body and terrain.
Additional utilities and satellite engineering tools
- Deck Access
- Area tool
- Obscuration tool
- Imagery and Terrain Converter
- Chains
- Constellations
- Satellite Collections
Refined graphics
- Apply FOV Specular Point Exclusion constraint to the graphical display of a Sensor's field of view (FOV).
- Display a facility's azimuth-elevation mask.
